Seven Spoons Glazed Sesame Oats || TENDING the TABLEIt always amazes me how quickly time goes by. The days never cease to feel full and busy. School, life, bills, cooking for others, feeding ourselves, walking the dog, cleaning the house…Despite the constant hum and buzz, I’m always grateful for the little moments in between.Seven Spoons Glazed Sesame Oats || TENDING the TABLEA few days ago I came home after a long day to find Tara Obrady’s new book, Seven Spoons, waiting on my doorstep. Yipee! I don’t know Tara, but have heard others sing her praises and had been eagerly awaiting the arrival of her new book. I immediately made a cup of tea and curled up on the couch to read the book (yes, I read cookbooks).

Seven Spoons Glazed Sesame Oats || TENDING the TABLEAside from the stunning photographs and vibrant recipes, Tara’s book is full of honest, heartfelt writing. She builds a world around her food and invites you to share it.

Seven Spoons Glazed Sesame Oats || TENDING the TABLEThis recipe for glazed sesame oats is the first recipe I made. It is simple, but perfect, because sometimes simple is best. Not too sweet with just the right amount of crunch. I can’t wait to continue cooking from the book.
